Welcome to North Dallas Martial Arts!
My name is Bonnie Abadie and my husband, David, and I are very excited to have you and your family join ours! North Dallas Martial Arts is a family owned and operated business that focuses on self defense training and Tae Kwon Do. The lessons provided teach children and adults alike to be active, develop confidence that shines through in outside aspects and activities, learn leadership skills, and most importantly teaches self defense.
I am in charge of the marketing, accounting, and publicity at the studio. David is the chief instructor and third degree black belt. We are unique here at North Dallas Martial Arts because he teaches the lessons for all of his students allowing him to develop a personal relationship with everyone at the center, including the parents.
One of the outstanding aspects of our studio is unlimited lessons and no contracts. You can pay month to month and come to as many lessons as you would like! We offer a special package for the students at the day cares and private schools. For only $25.00 a month extra, day care students can come to the studio and get as many extra lessons as they would like. If you miss a lesson at the center, you can make it up for free at our Richardson facility! The wonderful part about our studio is the flexibility of the schedule. No matter what is going on in your week, we have a time for you to come and see us.
The students at North Dallas Martial Arts are able to access the handbook online. Visit our website at www.northdallasmartialarts.com/handbook. This will help you understand what your child is learning in class and help with practice at home. You can also access the curriculum on our app. We do have our katas DVD for sale and we have an introductory cartoon DVD available for the younger ones. Let Mr. David know if you would like to purchase them and he will bring it to class.
There are belt tests every three to four months to promote your child to the next level. If you do not feel your child’s behavior or grades are indicative of a martial artist, we will hold off on promoting until the behavior and grades improve. We expect them to do their best, but that doesn’t mean perfection. (ie-they don’t have to make straight A’s.)
